I agree 100%. Bell is single handily undoing everything they built in the early 2010’s. Michigan is an interesting point. If the NCAA said conference meets are the highest weight, how can you accept a team that didn’t compete. Seems like the rules only apply to the small schools. This is why the regional system works.
Opposite actually. Bell doubled down on what they built in the 2010's: high expectations with out any guidance, support, or team belonging. Bell and Fox didn't realize that the leadership of Knight, Hehir and Beanie compensated for their coaching deficits. When they left, the program was back to normal- do-or-die great expectations.
I don’t think anyone cares about this at all. Clearly some SB people are obsessed with some America East results. That’s the minor leagues. This post is about nattys and how Syracuse stinks.

It’s Noah. Screw Syracuse
Karma baby! I guess we haven't learned our lesson Noah.
Just wait until Brody Smith starts running. Whatever doubts you have about the Orange will be quashed. He's a 1:53 guy, almost sub-4 miler, and an overall solid runner. That, combined with a solid group, a good training environment, and a stellar Coach will put Syracuse back on top.
Thanks for that, Brody!

Almost only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades and bocci ball!
7th place. I rest my case.
Syracuse shouldn't go to nationals after this. The top 5 teams- Stanford, Colorado, Iowa State, Wake Forest, and Utah State should all go.
New Regional Rankings are out.
1. Iona
2. UMass Lowell
3. Syracuse
Will be interesting to see if UMass gets votes in the national rankings.
UMass with 4 and Syracuse with 3. A lot of work ahead for the northeast to send two teams this year.
Not happening under the procedures used this year.
They would get crushed by some Ivy League schools if they were allowed to compete.
Which Ivy League teams are you thinking of? Harvard was exceptional at the end of last year but lost some important guys. Kieran is now with Bowerman for example.
The Lowell coach is voting for his own team. He’s overrated all of the America East teams so that it looks better when his team wins that weak conference. Binghamton has been awful for the past 8 years and now they’re ranked 7th in the region? For what? One guy and a few recruits? SB graduated 4 of their top 5, why are they ranked 4th (other than for the benefit of UML)? Now, I do believe that Lowell is good. However, beating some weak AE teams is going to make it tough to prove that they belong at NCAAs for the first time this year.
The Northeast is usually has schools like Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, Yale, Harvard, and Columbia are usually all ranked. Take them out, schools that shouldn’t be ranked will fill their spots. The past few years the rankings have been pretty close to the results from regionals.

With the Ivy League out the America East is really all the Northeast has. The regional rankings seems quite fair to me and if you think they are so biased I’d love to see your rankings. Stony Brook has always been a deep team putting them fourth in the region isn’t exactly crazy.
Weird year without teams racing but as a fan of the Ivys I have no issue with the current regional rankings.
