I'm shooting for a late March- early April marathon and wanted to see your feedback on my chances of running a sub 3. Currently, my pr for the marathon is a 3:22 set way back in September of 2019. I've done a done of work since and that marathon was not the best I had on that day. I've since ran a 1:23:30 half on a very hilly course in December and a 38:11 10k this past October on another hilly course. My current training is about 60-70 mpw with the normal Tuesday track/ hills, Thursday tempo ( 3x6t with 2 minute recovery) and about 18-20 for the long runs. I alternate the weeks with easy (7:45-8:15) then to running the middle 10 at MP (6:50.) Thoughts?
