What's up with the NC State cross country, distance running team?
None of the big names were at the last meet but they did send a bunch of girls to run the mile and some of them had pretty decent times
Are they still going to have the cross country championship in March? Is that their main focus? Is starliper still on the team, haven't heard anything about her
Is Stanford going to try to compete?
No reason for the Wolfpack to run top runners when Nationals is in the middle of March..... it is way early for racing...... time to train not race! Yes, Starliper is still on the team. The Let’s run article a month or two ago said coach Henes said Starliper and Tuohy did not come in healthy to school in the fall. Being Freshman I’m sure they are being very cautious and taking a long term approach with their top two recruits!
Everyone seems to forget that NC State returned everyone in their top 7 but one, and placed 5th at NCAA’s with their 5th runner all year placing last on the team due to a very off and bad day...... they would have been 4th for sure if She did not have an off day. This team is very good without their 2020 recruiting class....they are the second best team in the Nation without Tuohy and Starliper. Stanford in my eyes is the clear #1. If Starliper and Tuohy are healthy and in shape, they have a chance at knocking off Stanford, but that may not be enough this season? NC State has the much better pack and depth but Stanford has the better front runners. It’s going to be a great battle but I give the edge to Stanford.
