You can finish and not be last with zero training. In an average field of 200, maybe 15 runners are prepared to do something that looks like running at the 50 mile distance and up. The back half may say they're running, but the reality is they rarely have both feet off the ground at any given moment. If you walk, and resist the urge to lay down and sleep or eat 3 square meals, you will finish ahead of at least 30 fat fakers.

Unfortunately that is so true these days.
OK, so I have some good news. I had a meeting today and the thing with my back/shoulder/neck, it looks like it is getting better and it should be around three weeks. I have been in so much pain with this thing, I don't even want to go there. I thought lower body injuries were bad but I have never been tormented throughout the entire day and night before like I was with this (it has stopped hurting at night now).
Soooo... it is just a matter of time. I am so, so lucky not to have serious damage from that.
My left arm, it is still tight but it is a little bit better, it is not hurting at rest and mainly hurts if I lift anything heavy or my hand bends back.
I cannot wait for these injuries to be gone and then to get on with fixing my knee and foot.
The torn quad is 'knitting' together.
The weather is due to get warmer.
So I am trying to be positive, it has been pretty hard the past few weeks. But onwards and upwards (and I will not stop until I meet my goal!).
