Hi all,
I'm looking for better/more ideal ways to progress my running across a broad range of distances. I think I have a decent routine going, but am not really seeing much improvement in the last few months.
As background, I'm 31yo and have been running for >5 years. I started with 2-3 runs a week for ~20-25km per week, and became more serious ~1 year ago. Since then I've upped things to 5x runs per week for ~70-80km per week. My week now typically includes 1 long intervals/tempo session, 1 short/quicker intervals session, 1 long run of 2 hours or more, and a bunch of easy runs/jogs.
Goals I have for 2021 include getting my 5k time to 19mins (my PB is 20:20) and getting my marathon time to 3h30 (my PB is 3h44).
Any thoughts on what workouts I should focus on? And what the progression or milestones should look like?
