Are you allowed to confront a judge in public? Like you would a politician? Or is there a special law that makes it a crime to confront a judge?

If you have a case pending before the judge, it is considered an impermissible ex parte contact with the court and you can be sanctioned by the judge.
If you see a judge in public and want to yell some Qanon BS at him or her, there is no law that says you can't. However, threats against judges are taken very seriously, especially if the judge is on the Federal bench. So, choose your words carefully if you are looking to cuss out a judge in public.
