I'm a 14 year old freshman. I'm trying to improve my 800M time a little bit before my winter season begins in about 2 weeks. I've been running almost every day and been doing a mix of track workouts, longer runs, and strength training. I've never run cross country or track before. I ran a time trial in mid-december and I ran 2:24, and I'm not sure how much faster I am now, but I don't think I'm in sub 2:20 form. Today, I ran 300,600,300 with 8-10 minutes rest in between in addition to 2x2mile in 6:28 average (8 minutes rest). For the 300M, I ran 49.6 and 48.8. However, for the 600 I only ran 1:48 which is a significantly slower pace than the 300's.
Does anyone have any tips for getting my endurance and speed endurance up, and what I should do to get my time below 2:20?
