Strava supporting equality in this country is only "political" if you consider advocating white supremacy and voter suppression a valid political position to take in a democratic society. Most of us do not.[/quote]
I still fail to see how people who believed voter fraud occurred are synonymous with white supremacists.
Who reads blog posts?!!! Didn't know they had a blog.
A perfectly valid explanation for why far-right views can't seem to find a popular platform is that they simply aren't that appealing to people. The market deems them too costly to allow in much of the public sphere. I see nothing wrong with this. Such views still have strong 1st Amendment protections.
There's no case. Some people are butthurt that others didn't take the bait and turn into fearful conservatives like they did.
WOW. I am WRONG. BIG MEDIA again shows they are SILENCING dissenting voices!!
Seriously, all these people crying about leftists controlling the narrative are so comically full of it.

It's very timely that you posted this. I saw the banner on their app homepage and deleted the app on the spot. They are propagating a false narrative and the double standard is astonishing. The Capitol riot was, quite frankly, child's play compared to what BLM and ANTIFA did all summer, not to mention there is a preponderance of evidence that left wing, ANTIFA agitators fomented the chaos at the Capitol! Personally, I don't want to support any of these propagandist "woke" organizations pushing this Communist dogma cloaked in "racial justice." What's good for the goose is good for the gander!
Lay off the gas fumes
What was the cause exactly? They were protesting because a meth-addicted career criminal died of a heart attack while resisting arrest for driving while on meth and fentanyl. Either the left is by far the biggest group of degenerates or are just complete idiots. Also you misspelled riot as "protest"

Police kneeling on a man's neck for several minutes after they rendered him unconscious.

Republicans won't be holding office for a very long time until the right moves more towards the center and work towards actual policies that will benefit society.
The best thing that Trump has done and will have a lasting effect is make young people and minorities realize their vote actually matters, and unfortunately for the Republicans, the vast majority of them will be voting for progressive policies, aka NOT for Republicans.
Lol you say that like its a good thing that minorities continually vote for "progressive" policies that routinely turn their communities into crime-infested sh!tholes. Just ask LA, San Fran, Chicago, Baltimore, Portland, Seattle. Those places are disgusting. By the way, Trump got more minorities to vote for him than any other Republican in history - probably because of his prison reform and investment into minority communities. Meanwhile Biden votes for crime bills that put black men in prison, and Harris fights to keep them in prison and use them as slave labor in her state.

Sorry, the evidence points drugs that killed him with a heart attack (and corona apparently XD) not the guy kneeling on him.
https://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/national/george-floyd-autopsy-floyd-died-from-heart-attack-complicated-by-being-restrained-compressedThen the left buried him, the same career criminal who robs pregnant women at gunpoint, in a gold casket while pretending to give a sh!t about him in order to gain votes from gullible liberals. What an absolute clownshow.

Sad that Condoning racism is a political view now
The left has turned racism into a political view by accusing Trump supporters of being white supremacists. Racism shouldn't be political and the left shouldn't be using black people to further their agenda.
__________________________
They (the far left, now in bed with corporate America) don't just accuse Trump supporters of being white supremacists (not to mention accusing Black and Latino people who voted for Trump of engaging in "multiracial Whiteness), they argue that white supremacy is the foundation of Western culture. This includes the following concepts: rationality, merit, objectivity, linear sense of time, science, liberal democracy, the sex binary, and colorblindness as an ideal. Notice the implicit racism here. If whiteness means being rational, hard-working, on-time, what does it mean to be non-white? I'll save you the work. Non-white then becomes irrational, late/lacking a sense of time, lazy, etc. This ideology magnifies harmful stereotypes while arguing that we should gut the very system and values that have led to social and economic progress for women and minorities.
Many of the ideas seeping into mainstream culture under the banner of social justice are illiberal, and if taken too far, will tend towards totalitarianism. This is no joke. I know many lifelong liberals (myself included) who are horrified by this slow gutting of democracy. Many became so terrified of Trump's alleged fascism (he is a narcissist but not a dictator) that they began to embrace leftwing authoritarianism. Our country's greatest threat right now is a Maoist sort of cultural revolution backed by corporations, not a Nazi takeover. Racism, now called anti-racism, is being used to divide the working and middle classes while people like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg consolidate political and economic power. How many small businesses were gutted during COVID while Bezos got insanely richer? Meanwhile, the people protesting lockdown because they're suffering financially are lambasted for being ignorant bigots and anti-science conspiracy mongers. Obviously, some of these people are ignorant, but they're not powerful. They're lashing out because they don't have power. They have legitimate gripes, even if some of them are racist (many are not). Ignoring their problems while calling them white supremacists will only make the problem worse.

Thank you for confirming that they did in fact kneel on his neck for several minutes after he was unconscious, as I stated.

The right gets d1ckslapped in 2 consecutive elections:
"But, the left is bad! Why are these dumb (dog-whistle) people voting against their interest!!"
No time for self-examination! There are libs to own and elections to lose!
All. of. this.

A Terrorist attack on a federal building incited by the former president was childs play? They literally were trying to halt democracy. A there were nooses and Confederate Flags inside our capitol. Definitely not child's play that building should be way more secure than any state level infrastructure. Pouting at its finest from a collection of people who seem extremely spoiled. Comparing why they were protesting to the BLM protest is comparing apples to corn. Comparing how they were treated is 1:1 comparison in my opinion.
Side note but weren't one of the strava founders out in jail for protesting in the past
Stopped reading when they complained about Bezos getting richer which was driven entirely by general gains in the stock market. If this dude has a 401k then he is on the Bezos side of things, apparently. Eye-roll. You guys watch too much Tucker Carlson. Go talk to people. You'll see that most people don't buy into the over-performative critical-theory anti-racism OR the reactionary proud-to-be-White BS. Seriously, turn off your TV.
I never read the blog so didn't even know about it until it got mentioned on here . As far as I'm concerned its a neutral place for runners to share their training and racing and thankfully there are no political posts allowed on the LR group there.
Actually...
GD's post was fantastic. Azxd's seconding of the post, also awesome.
Cant wait to see try-hard Harambe weasle his way out of this one. It will probably be a long drawn out post.
Also...
The way GD's post was written suggests that he does not watch too much TV, as heavy TV consumers tend not to be able to make logical, thorough observations.

The dude repeated the dumb Bezos getting richer meme. That's like boomer Facebook level stuff. I am unimpressed at them and your judge of what is "logical" and "thorough."
I presented my refutation of his argument. That the demonstrative difference between the BLM protests and the Capitol protests warrant using different language - to do so is not deceptive or manipulative. You don't have to agree with me but generally it would be expected that you respond to my arguments. A few thousand rioters/trespassers out of 10k Capitol protestors is vastly different from a few thousand rioters among 25 million BLM protestors. We can take this argument to the extreme: If there were only a single Capitol invader, no one would care, just as if there were only a single BLM rioter. The proportion of bad actors is what defines the perception of the protest.

Nope. HitEmWithTheHein's and Rojo's posts were truthful and insightful and 2600Bro and you simply cant refute it. Instead you resort to petty digs at the website's potential to attract a wide audience. You know close to nothing about the website's traffic capacity and still wouldnt even if you got your hands on a Google Analytics account.
HitHimWithTheHein's post was great because it shows how the media + social media manipulates language and leaves key counter points out of its arguments. They are selective gas lighters. Kinds like Teddy a.k.a John Edward Gammel in Memento.
