Last time I went to MinuteClinic for a flu shot the NP recommended I urgently seek the care of a cardiologist.
I've had that too, several times. The last time was a couple years ago at work, we were doing some health fair thing, and some nurse checked my pulse in front of a room full of people and it was 46. First she wondered if her machine was busted, then she said something like "well, that is extremely low, you and I should talk after we are done here." I said something about it alway being low and I'm a lifelong runner, but that failed to register. Later in the hall, she told me to see a doctor right away. I told her again, it's always been low and I run a lot, but she seemed unconvinced that some with a pulse of 46 doesn't need hospitalized.
