| THE FATS REPORT |
---------------------------
I've stopped posting for awhile, but I thought you might enjoy my latest thoughts on topics I usually comment on. I won't be replying to any of your responses to this. I don't have the time right now.
TRUMP AND HIS TERRORISTS
------------------------
I'm glad the heat is being turned up on some of the terrorists (Even Ted Cruz called them terrorists). Many will go to prison. But the Donald himself is proving even harder to prosecute than I expected. Even though his many crimes are obvious, it is very hard to prosecute someone with a lot of money, power, and an effective delay strategy.
THE BIDEN PRESIDENCY
--------------------
Biden has been on a massive losing streak. I'm not sure how he could have done much better with cards he was dealt, but we do have to face that the failure to get BBB passed, and the apparent failure to get voting rights passed, is killing his presidency.
JANUARY 6th COMMITTEE
---------------------
They are doing important work but they won't be able to finish before midterms. This will lead to an incomplete report and criminal referrals to the DOJ. They won't change anyone's mind. Those who are determined to believe the lies will go on believing the lies.
CLIMATE CRISIS
--------------
With a Democratic majority in both houses, there was a glimmer of hope that the US could make real progress. And combined with Europe, which actually has made real progress, there was the possibility of bringing the rest of the world along with us. As I discussed above, BBB failed and there is no reason to believe that the US is going to get serious about climate. So now it looks like Europe will fight the climate crisis alone, and that won't be enough to make a dent in the problem.
If you want to get a good understanding of why we are unable to solve the climate problem, watch the smash hit NetFlix film, "Don't look up". Most people found it funny. You can't go wrong with Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Maryl Streep, and Jonah Hill.
ELECTRIC VEHICLES
-----------------
EVs are the one bright spot in fighting the climate crisis. The switch away from inferior gas cars continues to accelerate as EVs make up a larger and larger portion of worldwide sales. Ford and GM are probably doomed. Tesla and BYD will be the largest automakers at the end of the decade.
I reiterate my prediction that 90% of all non-commercial autos sold in the US will have a plug by Q4 2030. But more and more, it's starting to look like this will happen even sooner. The only thing holding back EV adoption is availability. We just can't make them fast enough to keep up with demand.
If you own a gas powered car, get ready to see the resale value plummet. We will reach a point where everyone realizes that EVs are the future and nobody wants to touch a gas powered car. This will happen almost overnight as panicked owners try to ditch their outdated autos.
