Two approaches to a covid economic relief plan.
A) Modest bipartisan effort.
If Republicans don’t sign off on that then . . .
B) Huge bill with only Democrats voting in favor of it.
Passed through budget reconciliation.
Lol so apparently Biden got locked out of the Whitehouse because he fired his doorman for having "ties with Trump." What an absolute loser.

This was covered on page six. Try to keep up.
I’d have fired him too.
A lot of vague made up stances there, but ok. What good did cancelling the pipeline do for the country? Nothing, not even for the environment. It was a useless stab at the American people bu a political tool (Biden; he is and always has been just a tool).
Why do people keep starting new Biden threads? This one is “official.”

It wasn't a meaningful action, because it will increase carbon emissions, not decreased them. Obama tried and failed several times to get a study that would show otherwise. Then decided to do it anyway, because most environmentalists are morons.
That’s bunk, man.

lol because stopping the Keystone Pipeline will reduce our carbon emissions *sarcasm*. All it will do is ensure we have to pay more money to some foreign country for oil, who will then ship said oil using - you guessed it - MORE FOSSIL FUELS. Spend more money to destroy the environment even more - GENIUS.

Closing Keystone won't do sh!t because it's one pipeline out of like a million. This one just has name recognition. So yes, it's symbolic, and it'll hardly affect supply of oil in the US.
The truth is that global demand for oil is plummeting and it's not coming back. US is moving to become energy independent through renewables which get cheaper every second which started happening at the state level way before Biden.
Yes, in 2000 everyone thought solar was a dead end technology and that we had 30 years max left of oil and it'd be 1000$ a barrel by now. Both prediction turned out to be wrong. Sorry you don't get to keep your sh!tty tar sand oil pipeline that was floating like 6 jobs a year.

Hardcore republicans basically haven't updated their talking points since 2000 and it shows. Alarmingly low information across the entire spectrum.
Goes well with allying with ultra-Christians and eventually Q-anon LARPers who both have little concern for facts.

This doesn’t speak to the massive amount of wildlife that simply constructing the pipeline would destroy, nor the threat of it leaking into our rivers and water supplies. It was supposed to run all the way to Houston, Texas, right? If we don’t dramatically change our behaviors there will be no Houston, Texas in 40 years. Cancelling the pipeline obviously doesn’t solve our problems, but continuing construction is like committing to fossil fuel dependency indefinitely. Also, the money paid to foreign countries for oil is passed on to the consumer; when you get real about the climate crisis, anything that dissuades people from burning up fossil fuels is ultimately a good thing.
Global demand for oil is not plummeting. It is still steadily rising each year; unless you are trying to include 2020 in the mix where travel massively declined; this will not be for long. 6 Jobs per year? No. Millions of oil pipeline running down through Canada to the US? No. Liberals really love to just make stuff up don't they. An impressive level of false conviction, and an impressively stupid move by Biden, among others already made.

He will restore unity, civility and create a positive atmosphere
No level of global warming in the next few centuries is going to remove Houston from the map, but feel free to just make up more stuff to make yourself feel better for cheering on 1000s of Americans that were just put out of work and a shift back to being dependent on foreign oil. Good job.

The environmental reviews performed under the Obama administration analyze just that and gave it the go-ahead. When they didn't turn out the way environmentalists wanted they did more reviews just to be sure and got the same result.

Lulz. Even if you believed that, cancelling a pipeline won't help to that end. As long as we use oil, we might as well do so efficiently.

I’ll bump this thread in 2061 to say “I told you so.”

Has the corrupt and senile old man saved us yet?
Dementia Joe will Make China Great Again!
To be fair 3 of the last 7 presidents have likely had a form of dementia in office.
