This is a crazy detail that shows how nutso this country is racially.
Yes, crime has risen in US cities.
But violent crime is virtually all young black and hispanic men.
What do you do with that?
You try to stop it, but you don't think that the violence affects everyone.
If you are woman, or white, or asian, or probably older than 30...there is no material violence in US cities. 7 white people in all of NYC have been shot in 2021. Out of what...4 million? Incredibly safe.
And guess what...young black and hispanic men don't vote, so they don't have strong enough advocates.
Crazy stuff.
