Disgusting regardless of who carried it out. But unlike your depraved mind I don’t point score on the issue of child abuse, there’s been plenty conservatives guilty of it too.
Joel Koskan, a Republican running for South Dakota state Senate, was charged with felony child abuse after he allegedly sexually abused a child family member.
Appreciate the link to some long-form and relatively in-depth reporting on this issue...but a couple qualms:
1) In what sense is Biden the most "union-friendly" President of all time? This claim was made by the railway worker who speaks at length in the clip.
2) Said railway worker talks about his colleagues leaving the profession, esp. those with heavy seniority. Do they know what they are getting into? Union contracts tends to guarantee raises and reward senior workers. Railway workers are on of the few groups that get defined-benefit pensions (instead of 401(k)s aka., "gambling").
This could be the beginning of a generally complacent media turning on Biden. If my hunch is correct, what happens next threatens to destroy the Democratic Party (or at least expose some things about it that will be hard to overcome).
So, it looks like Biden is trying to double down on stupidity during the lame duck session. Imposing more restrictions on oil and gas when we are in the midst of high inflation (7.7%) with the biggest component being energy inflation (17.6%). What this will do is force more rate hikes from the fed, further decimating the housing market, business investment, etc.
lessee....
oil is the same price now as it was before the russian invasion and far lower than when Biden sold out of the SPR
gasoline is only 10 cents per gallon higher than a year ago
The Fed thinks inflation is running at around 4-5% right now and falling fast
The Fed thinks the economy is growing at a 4.3% rate right now
Uemployment has a 3 handle.
The US economy has far higher growth than its peers and far lower inflation than its peers.
Not really sure you are on top of the facts.
I'm just spitballing here...but are you listening to right wing media again?
I'm sorry. I was referring to the Bureau of Labor Statistics figures. You do understand there are parts of energy inflation that cannot be artificially suppressed as easily as gasoline (there is no strategic reserve of natural gas to draw down). Energy commodities are up 19.3% YOY. Fuel Oil is up 68.5%. Gasoline is up 17.5%. Energy services are up 15.6%. Piped utility gas is up 20.0%. Electricity is up 14.1%. And the thing about those items, which are negatively impacted by Biden's energy policies, is they affect all of the other items: Food, commodities, other services.
One of your child grooming heroes rapes a child and you're primary concern is me.
Gross.

Your stupidity and self own is what is GLORIOUS 😏
I thought they were talking about matt gaetz again . You never know who shows up for conversation in a Biden thread. And the moron in the room have you any friends to speak of that could help with your intervention?

Every other major entity is predicting a recession in the coming months, yet you are still grasping to the idea that everything is A-OK.
well the good news here is that econ stats are made of moving pieces.
energy prices have fallen a lot and will soon be reflected in inflation numbers. Taking that into consideration, the Fed thinks the current inflation run rate is around 4-5% and falling.
we have to be careful and not be too stuck on rearward facing econ statistics. I think that's what you are doing here.
"Sedition" over the world's only super power with 15 unarmed people... lol.
The problem that Elmer Rhodes and his Chief Deputy Kelly "Big Cookie" Meggs (and many others) faced here was that Trump never invoked the Insurrection Act as everyone expected, so the Oath-Keeps were stuck in the Hobnob's choice of whether to go all rogue and invoke their own version of stompage. With the clock running down, they decided to go for the gambit, but it backfired big time. Big time, hard time, slam time. These guys are going to do many, many years on the federal yard, and emerge from incarceration as forgotten, humiliated, penniless storks.
What's even worse is that Trump didn't pardon them while he had the chance. He's spending his time throwing food around and trolling the internet, while he could have been pardoning the Capitol guys. They feel betrayed by Trump. Can you blame them? All he had to do was put his John Hancock on the dotted line, and these guys would be easy. That's why so many of them are rolling over backwards on Trump during sentencing. They're figuring "if He doesn't have my six, why should I have His?"

That's not it...they are gaining fame and reputation for being straight up m'agas.
They assume Trump or DeSantis will in in 2024 and pardon every last one of them on day one.
Then these seditionists will have their right wing reputations protected and book deals and a ticket on the right wing convention circuit. Even run for office. And Republicans will elect them.
A year or less in jail is worth it to them to secure their financial futures.
They can't even conceive of a Democrat winning the white house again...not in their calc.

I predict that Republican candidates for office who where either there on J6 or even prosecuted for being there will run for office and win seats in Trumplandia.
We are heading for a militaristic, violent, gun-crazed, paranoid version of Trumplandia. Those people aren't at all in for democracy and they will poison it for the rest of us.

The Biden administration has their eyes on Twitter. They are ready and willing to censor whatever they don't like. You really want that?

So, to be clear, are you a "Second Civil War" believer? If so, I have some great news: it will never happen.
Why? There are more guns in this country than people. The people who own them legally tend to have respect for the law, rather than contempt for it. Most important: people at the time of the Civil War *hated* each other, in a way that goes far beyond the politically drenched slapfights you see online. Remember reading that people as close as New York and Connecticut could not stand the inhabitants of the nearby place where they didn't live.
I am curious to hear your reasons for what you weote, though.

A Democratic state lawmaker convicted in August of repeatedly texting 911 during non-emergencies is now jailed on a stalking charge related to a Facebook post.

no, not a civil war. But trumplandia will consider itself as the real USA and any orders from DC to be well not all that serious or meaningful. Armed men will intimidate Democrats and scare them into basically hiding their politics for fear of their lives.
There will be nullification issues, constant states rights legal fights...but no outright violent battles between the US Army and the Trumplandia Army.
Just an uptake in political violence. Trumpers are uneducated, humiliated but patriotic...that's a dangerous mix that Republican leaders will use to gain power and punish Dems.

Who are we talking about here? By my impregnable calculations, at least half of the hundreds of convicted Capitol stompers have blamed Trump for their legal problems. They've renounced Trump which hardly enhances their hard-earned Magalist reputations.
Elmer Rhodes and Big Cookie Meggs have not got to the sentencing stage yet, so we don't know if they will go down with the ship or not. But I'm betting they fink out. When a man is staring into the millhopper of 20 years in penitentiary, they can change their tune fast.
If any of these guys are actually refusing plea deals because they are under the impression that Trump or DeSantis is going to win in 2024 (which is two years from now), and then pardon them, then they have an extremely high appetite for risk. Not many people would risk years of their freedom on a 50-50 election (and then the even lesser chance of a pardon).

I'm talking about the famous ones...the oath keepers leaders, etc. they watched Goodfellas and they learned that they need to take the hit now so they can remain made men when they get out. That right winger who who killed people in St Louis - he's the model. he's all over America selling his personal brand. that's where this is going.
the masses who stormed the capitol, no, that's not who I'm talking about.
Didn't one of these m'agas represent himself? tells me that he doesn't really want to get out of jail - he wants prison on his resume for what comes next...after the pardons rain down on the seditionlands.

Not really sure what you are trying to say there, but if the Jan. 6 "insurrectionists" were really trying to overthrow the government, as you propose, why are there no Jan. 6 Committee hearings going on now. They should be going on now until the cows come home. But they stopped 4 months ago. So apparently the Jan. 6 Committee hearings people didn't feel it was important enough to continue with the hearings.
Summation: No insurrection. Case closed. It is officially re-classified as a protest. Nothing more.
