I think what you meant to say is that US taxpayers enriched the military industrial complex by $500 million to prolong a war (giving just enough aid to ensure the destruction of vast swaths of Ukraine in the process) that may not have started in the first place under Trump, used a drone to kill a terrorist that they had known the location of for months because it was a time that was politically most advantageous for them to do so (or they lacked the stomach to deal with a handful of collateral damage to take him out earlier) and made a symbolic trip to Taiwan that will further enrich the military industrial complex and heighten the risk of nuclear war.
from Vindman. Note that in one form or the other Trump took the opposite side of each of these.
Too many talk about US decline. Way too many want an isolationist disengaged America. But look at the last ~24 hours. The US provided Ukraine $500 million in critical military aid, killed the #1 terrorist off in Afghanistan & girded democracy in Taiwan. No one else could do that.

Translations/clarifications of this deep wisdom:
1) The dreaded "military industrial complex" is apparently responsible for most, if not all, political and military decisions in this world. All those politicians and government professionals are just pure puppets, doing whatever Boeing tells them to do. Good to know.
2) If only Trump were president, he'd FIX this military industrial complex problem. You know, like he fixed lots of other problems. Moreover, who better to fix a problem presumably involving corruption and other slimy things than the most corrupt and slimy president ever? Good plan.
3) Trump's foreign policy genius is such that it would have dissuaded Putin from trying to take Ukraine.
3) Our government unjustifiably delayed the drone strike. He has great sources that tell him that.
4) The Biden administration worries about collateral damage. Yep, first administration to do THAT.
5) Pelosi's trip will enrich the military industrial complex. ???
6) We should do whatever China - or apparently any other country with nuclear weapons - wants, because they might use them. They CERTAINLY won't over a political trip, but we should still pretend to worry about it.....because it gives us an opportunity to criticize a D politician.
7) More generally regarding China, we should do whatever that virtual dictatorship wants, so as not to upset them (unless, of course, the "upsetter" was Trump, in which case it would be awesome).

Oh, and just one other note: You know two countries who are currently NOT worried about our shady and all-powerful military industrial complex (MIC)?
Hint: One has a REAL powerful neighbor looming over them, and would kind of like to be able to defend itself. You know who can help with that? Yep, the MIC - good!
And the OTHER has a powerful neighbor CURRENTLY trying to wipe it off the map. And like above, who can help? The MIC! Exactly, good for you !
At least 12 major U.S. cities have broken annual homicide records in 2021 -- and there's still three weeks to go in the year. Of the dozen cities that have already surpassed the grim milestones for killings, five topped recor...

That sounds nice for them but many people just believe in prioritizing America's interests instead of other country's.

By sending money to Ukraine, we are prioritizing American interests. I know this is hard for Americans to understand because we are generally shielded from the world. We’re not helping Ukraine just because we’re like, really good people.

many people believe the 2020 election was stolen. Many people think the J6 commission is a witch hunt. Many people are idiots.
So, it is becoming increasingly clear that Trump is going to eventually be indicted.
Discussion points:
1) IF he is convicted, will he spend time in prison, or will he basically be put on house arrest? I have heard at least one talking head say prison isn't reasonable because he has to be protected by the Secret Service (I think that's a BS point, but what say you?).
2) When will indictment happen? 2022? 2023? Another time down the line?
3) Since this is the Biden thread, I have to include him. Will Biden laugh?

Thats been the argument for every war or regime change in the last 20+ years
The Donbas isn't a vital American interest, sorry it's just not

1) If convicted, Trump will spend time in an actual prison. I'm sure they can figure out the security arrangements. I'm not sure if it would be legal, but maybe they just ship him to Gitmo?
2) Indictment happens in late 2022 after midterms. Trial in summer of 2023.

“Sorry it’s just not” vs the full purview of the bipartisan deep state with the most advanced reconnaissance and surveillance systems in the world. I’ll trust our government on this one.

Putin invaded Ukraine while Biden was president. Not trump. The libs don’t know how to deal with this fact.

Putin wants people like you who don’t understand correlation vs causation repeating this as much as possible.

and we didn't go to war over Donbas. When Russia was occupying Donbas we stood by.
But when RU invaded the rest of UKR we realized that he wasn't stopping at UKR, he was going country to country, reinstating the Soviet Union. The idea of Russia spreading an Empire into Europe is clearly, indisputably bad for the US and its allies.

You said the same thing about Matt Gaetz, dummy.
I don't remember saying that about Matt Gaetz (I assume you mean just the indictment part), however, it is possible that I did. BUT, I will say it is likely he get indicted. He is still under investigation, and some of the details we DO know about appear to show that an indictment of him is ultimately likely.
