Managoi, Kiprop, busted, Big Mac half busted. To be fair, the poster was hardly 'racist' in picking Tim to win over Jakob and the rest. We don't know how Manangoi's ban will affect Tim - he certainly looked terrible in his last race (800m). We don't know how much Jakob, Wightman and Kerr will have improved. We know McSweyn is still making giant leaps forward. No doubt a Kenyan will pop up and be a threat this year (and get popped in a couple of years), but listing Jakob, Wightman, Kerr, and McSweyn as the main threats to Tim is reasonable.
Nick Willis just making another Olympic final would be an incredible accomplishment and something never done before. That's what is likely keeping him going.
