Hope all is well. I was a sprinter at a DI school for a bit in my freshman year but got cut from the team. Despite being cut from the program, do I still need a self release form to talk to any other schools as I'm considering transferring to another school.
Any help is appreciated!
If you were a walk on, probably not. The safest bet is to contact your compliance person in your athletic department and send them a quick email to double check. I believe you'd have to go through them to enter the portal anyway.
Get on the transfer portal.
Email the head coach and compliance director at your institution and request to be placed on the portal. Can happen pretty quick. If you were already cut this should be drama free as well.

Yes. Contact the compliance office and get in the transfer portal.
