No. There is a massive chasm between his level and the next tier- ie top American. Neither of us are going to convince the other, by the way.
Bartelsmeyer was less than a second from making the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP final. I don’t agree that he would barely make the US final, nor that he would fare worse in “an actual race” than his place on the descending list.

German athletes such as KoKo are training in the US because they found great conditions. She is racing in US, too. Good for her. Our kids are growing up and living more and more internationally. No problems with Sam and Amos to run national championships when they have a German passport. No problem with great athletes from Africa winning national titles when they got citizenship. Happy about Samuel Fitwi taking a national title. Happy to live in a country where success stories and dreams can come true.
