interesting topic. the new balance fuel cell md-x spikes: underrated and very low key in comparison to the new nike spikes (air zoom victory & dragonfly) but in my opinion (and a lot of other runners) it's maybe a better version than the new nike line up.
Nick willis (2 time 1500m olympic medallist) dropped this on his twitter about the nb spikes: "OK, I'm a believer in the new spike tech. Ran 2 seconds faster than expected for a time-trial tonight. Wore the NB version that everyone has been tearing it up in."
Other runners (eg jake wightman) smashed records in these ones as well.
but here is the interesting fact: they aren't available for sale. this is against the new shoe rules. everyone was going insane when the nike line up releases too late but the NB's just never came out and nobody is talking about it. It's weird, everyone is chatting about nike and brands like NB can do their thing without resistance!

rule that it had to be for sale got removed in the latest uptade of shoe rules by World Athletics. Now athletes can use prototypes in non-championship races

Yeah I see it too right now. I wonder if you can really buy them as well. Maybe it's possible but only shipped direction NZ. it has to be available for everyone, so still against the rules.

The sport companies need to give a list with al the prototypes to WorldAthletics. You can follow al the prototypes there at the official shoe and prototypes list. Running with other prototypes than the pairs on the list is against the rules. At the moment the NB Fuelcell mdx is not a prototype, when you open the world athletics shoe list they're in the section of released shoes.

They were in stock for a few days. Had the opportunity to buy a pair but passed since I wasn't about to drop $150+$180 on a pair of spikes when I had another 15 pairs in the closet. Checked back a few days later and they were sold out. Think they dropped at an odd time (not near the track season) so few people noticed them. Probably released just enough to meet the regulations, as they haven't ever been restocked.

ok interesting! probably they sell about 50 pairs or something to meet the regulations. still a very bad move from them. this is not how is should work. -

I'm pretty sure this site is fake. looks like a real NB shop but they just remade the lay out. -
any ideas how i could get my hands on a pair, im a freshman in providence college and our college is sponsored by NB but i dont think we will be getting them spikes my friend was really liucky to get them as a prototype last year and i tried them and they are very good
