Something doesn’t add up because a lot of them here are Trumptards

Something dosen't add up. For starters some of you're 45, 50, or over 60. How are you running sub 15 minute 5ks, in your 60s? Secondly all the people on this board must be in the top two percent of income earnings, even during a pandemic year, when everyone is out of work. What l really think is most of you tell stories of greatness, when infact you are broke and stay with your parents in your mid 50s.
One thing to consider is that at least some of these people live in highly inflated areas where cost of living does trickle down to their paychecks to some degree. Also a lot of them say their spouse works. as well I know a nurse working in Seattle making over $100K. If you put two nurses together in a household in Seattle, there is your $250K income.
As for the running. I can't speak to how they make time to get in their workouts. Especially with commutes in big cities. I'm one of the few people on this board who is not a runner myself. I'm just a running fan. But I've been cooped up in enough office building and hospitals in my life to see that its more of a question of how do you not run to blow off steam. And If one can manage to do smart, quality workouts, stay healthy, and have a little talent. then those times can be achieved.
its 250 joint income? meh.
15 min 5k with a little talent and some quality workouts? No, you arent a runner are you? most club runners struggle (ie cant) to go sub 20.

What! How do you make 6 figures fluffing pillows and changing bandages?
Age: early 30's
Income: 225-250k gross.
Job: medicine which used to be very stable but covid actually hurt us a lot
I have a girlfriend, who is not a model but cute to me.
5K: 1640-1700 for road races when I ran in med school and residency. Mostly lifting the last few years . I don't run much now.
Nurses have a very strong union. In California the average RN makes low six figures.
Nation-wide they average like 70-75k gross which is very good for a bachelor's.

I don't claim those things, but I DO claim to have a huge unit. That's the intelligent thing to claim. It can get you all those other things except the 15 minute 5k
So you claim to have the thing that makes it easy to get those things, but don't actually have those things?
So you're a massive failure?

Age: mid 30s
Income: personal - 610k (220k is publicly traded equity), household - 1.05m (total of 330k is publicly traded equity)
Location: HCOL but not that high cost
Spouse: Most would say 8-9/10... I think 10/10
5k: Mid-high 15s but would like to get into the low 15s this year
Square footage of house: Mid 3000s
Do you also have a third leg?
Why would a higher percentage of Letsrun posters live in a high cost area? I assume that the posters represent the general population.
I would say 15 minute 5K would be the outer range of what a serious hobby runner would achieve. But it is believable. Maybe I should say it would take more than a little talent. I imagine someone who probably ran competitively in college and could run in the 14 minute range in their competitive prime. Then after college they took their knowledge of how to train and just kept it up.
Age: mid 30s
Income: $55k total HHI
Location: medium cost of living
Spouse: Most would say 7-8/10... I think 10/10 due to personality
5k: used to be sub-14, but only run for fun now
Square footage of house: Mid 1000s
Lol. Affirm, but never all things simultaneously.
Curious, what do you do? I'm guessing investment banking but I don't think that's likely since most 15:30 5k runners are skinny and aren't the types to do investment banking. It's usually the tall guys that lift. Perhaps big wig law? But that wouldn't explain the stocks you get.

MAGI = $86K (Take your AGI and add back in certain tax-exempt income).
House: Detached single family 1800 SF on 1/6 of an acre. Current market value approx. $625K.
Wife: Every time I look at her, I want to jump on her.
5K : No running since October, but if I ran on the street today, probably 29 minutes.
Both in healthcare (tech, pharma, biopharma... you get the picture).
I see. Consulting? I've heard of some consultants making 500-600k which is not normal but business types can make a ton.
Age: mid 30’s
Income: ~$375-475k. Wife doesn’t work now so that’s HH. More importantly not nearly enough saved/invested since I only just started making money post fellowship.
Wife: hot to me, being objective probably 6-7/10. I’m probably a 4-5/10 so I think I’m doing alright.
House: around $500k, medium/high cost of living area.
5k: 19:18
No. Just reasonably senior. The upper echelons of middle management.
