As an alternative to taking it all as a winner, this story is perhaps more applicable to runners, and certainly a nod towards running themed album cover art:

An entire anthology of cross country and not one shot of an African crossing the finish line. Amazing!

Just love the history. Always gave kids a sense of belonging to a sport that was special and exclusive. The intensity of some of the finishes are awesome. Can name most everyone in the videos that were world class.

Yeah, I don't know who made the video or when it was made but should have. Ngugi was amazing, Bekele etc... Just a pic of Lopez, another multiple time winner that should have been shown crossing the finish line.
I believe that's Getta Wami crossing the finish line 2nd....?
Letesenbet Gidey's world record 15K road run from 2019 is incredible to watch. The Letsrun founders have suggested this race may be the best running performance of all time of either sex. At ~0:43 in this one, the runner is Steve Machooka, the Cornell great--first great Kenyan runner at a U.S. university.
Contact the BrosJo. I've been able to have a few of mine deleted.
This is a great thread- keep it going.
Is there any way something like this, the history of the sport, could be permanently at the top of the message board or have it's own place on the home page?
I lived through a lot of this history and there is so much more.
In fact, motivation through video is one of the most effective. What to do in your free time from jogging? That's right, watch YouTube channels about running! Moreover, not so long ago I mounted an amazing motivational video for running for one of the YouTube channels using an application that I downloaded using a specialized site. It seems to me that it was a great job that will be able to motivate a huge number of people to start actively running.
