Any proof of this out there? The fact of the matter is he probably can try to beat this guys record of 500lb deadlift + mile run in under 4:50:

It's not a record of anything. And not really impressive due to his leveraging abilities. The deadlift isn't a test of strength. This same guy only benches like 275. If he did a 426 bench and a mile under 5mins then that would be better.
And yeah Hall would crush that record if he really wanted to. But yet again that type of record should have weight classes in 10lb increments. So 180-190, 191-200lbs..etc.
Sorry you are jealous. Maybe one day you can be fast and strong to tht level
You know, I feel for the guy. Exhausts his career dieting down to 120lbs and trying to maintain mileage on a keto diet. Decides to get on the TRT and call it a day, hopefully enjoy his wife now with some help from modern medicine. Then all of a sudden Sara goes nuts and marries the high volume lifestyle, leaving nothing extra for Ryan at the end of the day. What is a man to do but retreat to the garage and lift until the pain is gone.
Huh? Roughly half of the D1 decathlon could do a 500 lb deadlift and sub 5 mile.
Look to somebody like Curtis Beach if you want to set a more meaningful record. He could easily DL 500 lb, and has run sub 4 in the 1500, so sub 4:20 mile ability.
Please someone fact check this. Ban him for lying.
Ban Ryan hall for lying. I'm asking people to fact check if hall did deadlift 505 like he mentioned in his Facebook today

But he will have a fit (and very adorable) wife to enjoy after her retirement. I wonder if she'll still be fertile though... ?
She's a cutie. Hopefully she's not fertile. They have what, 3 kids? That's already 3 too many.
Just sayin, people who abuse testosterone develop an inability to produce it naturally when they stop using/injecting it. Halls low T is well documented and now he's crushing weights to get T. Wildly inconsistent running performances. Religious nut (people use religion to justify their sins). Do the math.
I think it's cool that a scrawny, elite distance runner like Hall has transformed himself into a serious body builder. He's a walking example that life is what you make it.
if he achieved half as much in running as he has at the weight bench, man, he'd of been one HECK of a runner.
Pit Ryan Hall's sub 2:05 Boston time and his sub 1 hour 1/2 marathon time against Rich Froning's CrossFit wins. Both Americans and both strong .. Froning competed internationally in a niche market! Hall was in intercontinentally. Hall has weights and medals.

You're trying to suggest that he was abusing T when he was competing, despite the fact that there would have been far better ways to dope?
And if he was doping, wouldn't he probably be hiding the fact that he is on T replacement therapy now? And why would he have retired relatively young instead of just continuing to dope? And you're saying because he is religious he is actually more likely to dope, since he would have a convenient excuse?
That's a lot of layers of conjecture that doesn't make much sense.
The dead lift in my opinion is a far better test of strength than bench press, yes its highly influenced by leverage but the bench is also, the best dead lifters have long arms and the best benchers have short arms.the bench is easy to cheat by bouncing the weight or not using full ROM. Plus being gaining fat will help squatting and benching but it will not help deadlift ,fat shortens range of motion and can give you a boost when the weight goes up and your fat decompreses. The dead lift is a great test of strength either you can lift 500 pounds off the ground and lock it out or you can't.
He's on TRT yes? That's basically legalized doping.
Good for him though. Wonder if I could get on TRT at age 43?

7mo ago he jerked up 455 like an idiot.

Please don't deadlift like this. That's just stupid.
Alan
There’s a picture of him holding the 505 on Instagram. In his most recent post he discusses the significant weight gain that corresponded with the effort.
505lbs is a decent weight but for a 190lb man who’s trained hard it’s not even close to unbelievable.

same here. I follow more post career athletes who pursue new challenges.
I hurt my back just watching that lift.
