Hello everyone,
I recently ran my first race of the indoor season yesterday where I ran 4:32 for the 1600m. The splits were 69,69, 70, and then 64. It’s obviously very early on in the season and I was pretty much only competing against one kid who I ended up blowing away after I made my move with 500m left. I also led the 4x400 off where I split 52-53 seconds and have PB’s in the 800 and 5k of 2:01 and 17:19 (think I was more around 16:40 but bad weather made for slower times). I know my 5k isn’t that great but I also got injured at the start of cross country season for two months so I think I could run much faster. My goal is 4:20 by the end of outdoor because that is pretty much the standard to make it to state so I was wondering if that is reasonable. Thanks!
