In the past few weeks I have been getting slower in my workouts rather than faster. My resting heart rate has doubled from 40 to 50 to 75-90. What is going on???? I can do easy runs as normal and hit paces on tempos just fine just not track workouts...

If your RHR has increased that much then you have an illness or something worth getting blood work done. My only does that if I’ve gone on a huuuuuge bender, and then it is still back to normal the next day. -
