They really do feel awesome but I they don’t feel as great as the og vics or even the Vic 3s. I will be getting a pair of dragonfly’s this week to compare.

Send em back, I'd bet money that you'll prefer the dragonfly, great shoes. Sent my vics back and got a pair, glad I made the switch
Might find use in these in a 15 or a mile this spring/summer. If not they’ll become a training pair

what do the new vics feel like? i was thinking of getting a pair. should i stick with the mamba Vs?
Not OP but I’ve tried on the new AZV’s.
Initial impressions were that it was extremely aggressive upfront, really forcing you to be on your forefoot/ball of your feet. The air zoom pockets were very apparent in my first try, as it just felt like I had something between my foot and the floor, but after a couple more tries that odd feeling goes away. The footplate however was a bit of an issue, as it kind of “dug in” to my foot, if that makes sense. Holding the shoes, they were extremely lightweight, so you can imagine how light they are on the feet.
On the track, the “digging in” feeling was less noticeable. The air zoom pockets make for a very bouncy and responsive ride from the forefoot, and the ZoomX foam has more of a gentle ride than the minimal cushioning of like a Vic 3. However, my biggest gripe with the AZV’s were on the turns — especially at a faster pace, it can become a little unstable and wobbly thanks to the air zoom pockets, which was my personal dealbreaker, as I’d prefer planting my feet on the track without having to worry about balancing on the shoes.
Overall though, it really is an enjoyable, comfortable, lightweight, fast shoe, but I’ve seen other people say that it’s pretty “overengineered” in comparison to other spikes in the market, including the Vic 3s (which I’m personally opting for), but if you’re looking to keep up with the newest technology, the AZV’s are certainly a pair to cop if you have the opportunity to get your hands on one.
(I also have no experience with the Mamba V’s, so I can’t really make any sort of verdict on those).

Stick with mamba V, they're lighter and I agree with seagull, the vics are unstable around the bends and feel very overengineered/thrown together. They're a usable spike, but there's better options
I think the dragonfly is probably the better one of the two spikes and the victory is a little gimmicky. Not everyone likes to be forced on their toes with stiff spikes.
My school was sponsored by adidas, and all of our mid distance guys ran in the avantis even though adidas made a spike that was more designed for mid distance. I never raced over a mile for college track and I raced in the avantis because I liked the bounce of a distance spike.
Point of this is that the dragonfly’s might see some large scale use in the 800 and mile, even though they are designed for the 3k and up. The new victory seems too stiff and over engineered in my opinion.
