Hey I was in a freak-ish accident that will keep me out 1-2 weeks from running completely and my season starts the 25th. I was in sub 4:35 and sub 1:58 shape averaging 50-60 mpw. How long will it take to regain fitness and would a different approach of harder workouts less mileage get me there faster( my injury was not due to running). I’m worried I’m gonna suck after I get back but I haven’t take a day off before yesterday in months I was in amazing shape before this. If anyone can help please respond and give your advice!
