Recently found out I was anemic, doctor told me I can only run 3-5 miles per day as opposed to my typical 7-12 miles per day. No hard workouts, just easy running until my iron comes back up. I know anemia is fairly common in runners so does anyone have any tips for running with it/maintaining some fitness? What have you found success with (if anything) while running with anemia? I'm not meant to do anything hard but I was thinking maybe doing some 100-200 intervals with a decent amount of rest to maintain some speed?
Very frustrating because it's hard to maintain much fitness only running a few miles per day at an easy pace and I really don't want to start from scratch in 2 or so months when my iron levels are back to normal
