Everytime someone tries to act like he OFFICIALLY fell off -performance wise- , this post/vid needs to be quoted. He shut it DOWN and ran that.
I mean, I dunno how fast he can ultimately go, but if he runs through the line on this we are probably talking about a sub 20. That's legit, even wind aided. You can't claim he's dropping off based on THAT RUN, alone, let alone all the the further context of the "lost season".
That is a video of him running right after he graduated high school at the age of 20

I didn't know that. The posts here implied he did it in a one-off during this most recent summer. So, fair enough, that 20.30 was still on his HS abilities.
But, to then offer this rebuke. A 6.64 60m opener:
https://youtu.be/BRz-A2m9ILcHe may well go sub 10 wind legal this year, if the 6.64 proves to essentially be a bit of a rust-buster.
That post-hs 20.27, though wind was "just over the allowable," was worth close to 20, maybe under, as he really shut it down near the end.
Another victim UGa meat grinder. The coaches there are world class recruiters and third world technicians. He will transfer within a year to try and salvage his career.

That's essentially my view of it, as well.
And as far as UGA "meat grinder", I have no idea. That may well be. But a 6.64 opener PR indicates that, at the very least, he has NOT stagnated from HS...or at the very least from last year where I think he went 6.68 for a best.
Maybe he's so good a meat grinder sitch wont kill him. I dunno. He also supposedly splut 45.5ish on the 4x4 presumably at the same meet.

I thi k even if you just check his IAAF it shows he ran a 20.30 with a +2.3 in June/19. I just presumed it was the same meet, personally, and the 20.27 was pre-official.

Might I also add, after looking into this to double check my work:
Boling was born 6/20/2000. He ran the race in question (the vid, apparently from Florida) on 6/23/2019. So, just to highlight, he ran the race 3 DAYS AFTER his NINETEENTH (19th) birthday.
I presume his school graduated officially prior to that race, likely early June. Meaning he likely officially graduated HS before his 19th day while he was still EIGHTEEN (18). So he didnt "graduate at the age of 20", he wasn't even 19 yet.
Just an update to keep that facts straight. Maybe a bit pedantic, but also without most of the trollism.
Didnt he just drop a casual 45 split?

I watched both videos (20.27 and 6.64) full screen and I could not tell if his start or subsequent acceleration was getting worse.
He is really fast-twitch with a big stride once he gets going, and so he is one of the best.
Slowing in the 20.27 is a poor habit that does not show sprinting superiority.
Instead, it induces sprinters to then try much harder to best their times that didn't occur because of slowing. I've watched that happen to sprinters in the Oly trials or Olympics, whereas they should have maintained effort to the finish in the prelims.

Yeah, I mentioned the 45.5 split, too. Ran the 2nd leg. Theres vid of that, as well:
https://youtu.be/N44h0nuagVABoling ran a 44.5 s 400 meter split in HS.
Now running 45.5 two years removed? Must be off cycle now...

1. The 44.5 was outdoor.
2. During a likely "peak".
3. In a relay anchor leg at a major competition where he had someone to chase from way behind.
And also:
1. The 45.5 was run indoor, presumably on a 200m track?
2. It was a rust buster opening season meet.
3. He ran the second leg, where already had the lead. It was practically a practice run.
I hate that you made me respond, and I hate myself for responding. This is 0/10 stuff.
He is only 1 second off of the world record.

Remember - no drug testing in HS, But twice a year random testing in Div 1 NCAA track and field.
Is that all? Why do they even bother? We might as well just assume doping is rife.
Just such a terrible Post . I hope you have a sad pathetic life .

Just pointing out that this is LetsRun and have you ever read the threads started by the guys who run the site? Some of those make this thread of idiocy seem positively salient.
