Is it possible to have a thoracic fracture without pain? I have normal bone density and recently had a fracture of the left femur. For some reason the docs, after my dexa scan or x ray (dont know which), at some point along the line, have decided my thoracic spine might have a fracture and they want another x ray to check it out. I called them up and they said it might be just an abnormality from an old fracture, even something from when I was a kid. it's weird cause I never feel any pain in my back (maybe a little nag after hunching over cooking or something - but nothing significant). to let the hip heal I haven't done any running for about 3 months, and will spend the next 3 months or so with a very geologically gradual build up. is there any chance ive actually got a spinal fracture to be worried about? advice welcome.
