For a good while now I have been consistently running and working out six days a week. Over the summer I struggled with and injury in my glute that progressed a bit into my hammy also. Just now, the injury came back to me and has me taking a down week to be safe. Does working out every day that I run impair my ability to recover from my runs and thus increase the chance of injury? I know that working legs will directly affect my running performance but does working upper body hinder recovery from my runs? I’m planning on changing this schedule but on average I would spend 30 minutes on a workout and then 5 days a week I would spend 35 minutes on core.
