I'm trying to keep my easy runs within the Jack Daniels/vdot definition of easy i.e. 65% - 79% of max hr.
I want to get the mileage in, but don't want any unnecessary extra fatigue from easy runs.
My first few miles are always very low hr, and the hr eventually creeps up to 79% of max.
The average hr for the run is always way below 79%, usually about 72%
How disciplined should I be in keeping hr from going above 79%?
Does it matter if my hr strays above 79%, and therefore my average hr will be closer to 79%?
