I’m a 13 year old track and Xc runner running 23 miles a week and increasing mileage each week. This week looked like this:
Monday - Easy 3 miles at 8:28 per mile
Tuesday - 8/10 5 miles at 6:42 per mile
Wednesday - Easy 3 at 8:26 per mile
Thursday - Moderately easy 5 miles at 8:18 per mile
Fri - Easy 3 miles at 8:27 per mile
Sat - 4 x 1 mile with 4 min rest 5:46/47/49/47
I also train upper and lower body using weights and body weight for 6 days a week for an average of about 30 minutes. On top of that I work out core for about 35 minutes 5 days a week. My main priority is running but lifting is also something that I care about. I sometimes feel tired throughout the day although I get at least 8 hours of sleep each day and eat 2300 calories a day. I fear that as I up my mileage higher I will get more fatigued. Am I setting myself up for more fatigue with this training; and if so what should I change?
