Hey guys, I'm currently helping others find their motivation to run and if you would be willing to fill out this short survey for them, that would be greatly appreciated :)

I have a poor diet and I really don’t want to be fat. I don’t enjoy going to the gym and like being competitive. Running seems to be my only option..... maybe cycling
I want to run fast times.
When I got back into running, my original goal was fitness and speed improvements.
But within the last five years, it's to show contempt for all the jerks on letsrun who have made mean comments and to rub their doggy noses into the truth when I run a faster time than what they said was possible.
Because I have real hatred for people on this site and wish no acquaintance with any of you, proving you all wrong is why I run.
I want to represent my country, win silverware etc

Same. It is a big part of my motivation. I want to beat idiots on my team and run well to spite those who hate me.
Knowing that the bastards I want to beat next season are out there getting their miles in.
I enjoy moving fast through mountain terrain as it’s therapeutic.
I also like a lean body. Was fat and I look younger without the pudgy bloated blocky weight lifter body.
Because its the purest meditation
1) Not getting fat
2) Doing well in races
I have many different motivations, that fall forward then recede again, in turn.
But lately I've begun to glimpse the motivation that underlays them all.
I'd you have the time and are healthy, there is no excuse to not exercise, and running is excellent exercise.
I run, therefore, because there is no excuse good enough to make passing up all the benefits worth it.
There are many other reasons but lately I've begun to suspect the reason above is the true driver for me, and I think it's a good one
I enjoy both training and racing, as well as following the elite side of the sport as a fan. I enjoy watching the elite men and women equally.
Makes me feel better, stay in shape, weight control, and when/if races come back, trying to win my old fart age group in the 5-10k. Getting harder to do any real training anymore though.
