For how much hate the Nike Zoom Tempo Next% gets from shoe reviewers, I’m surprised it didn’t make an appearance in this thread.

I haven't use them enough to really say yeah or nay. They're not bad but not as usable as the tempos. Damn I wish I had an alternative to them.
Oh I also got the endorphin speed. They were great for like 100kms then the softness broke and I started feeling the plate. Wasn't a great shoe either.
Really upset they killed the T2. The greatest shoe of all time.
not as usable as the turbos I mean.

Huh. Sad to hear that about the Endorphin Speed. I love that shoe so far (but I've only put like 30 miles on it).
My recommendation for a speedy tempo trainer would be the Adizero Pro. I think it was billed as a Vaporfly competitor, and it's nowhere near that level of bounce so people dismissed it, but as a tempo/long interval trainer I am a big fan. Seems like you can find some relatively low prices on it right now too -- I got mine for $106 (sticker is $180).
Worst purchase for me was the Hoka Rincon. I liked them for the first 25 miles or so but I don't think I ever made it past 50 miles in them as I grew tired of fiddling with the laces every time trying to get a good fit. Not sure why I keep trying Hoka's they just don't seem to ever fit my foot all that well.

Agreed. It’s almost a great shoe.. so narrow footbed but wider outsole? Lacing is awful.. exposed EVA outsole doesn’t last.. cushion seems to get compressed quickly.
The first couple runs on it feel great though.

Interesting. I just got a pair. While I don't have much mileage on them yet, I have liked running in them for tempo work.
hate my hoka rincons i got. get blisters every time I wear them and I thought it would go away as they broke in but even at 200 miles on them they still suck (for me)
going back to the adidas bostons I had before
I bought dress shoes for work in late February/early March... waste of money.
Thats exactly what I did, went right back to my Bostons for all my road runs. I do a lot of trail running and know lots of people who love Hoka's but now I've tried the Speedgoat, Clifton, Torrent and Rincon. I don't think I can be convinced to try another Hoka at this point. And I've come to think that they are more focused on marketing than they are on actually making good shoes.
