One here too ... Are we gaining anything from either one of these interviews or is it just noice ..? What if he never said anything to anyone ever and refused to do anything close to an interview?
Yes.
Sometimes around events (especially now with the scarcity of events) you will see multiple stories around one subject.
Sometimes people complain that the sport isn't being covered.
Which way would you like it?
Out of the 1000-plus interviews that I have done, I would wager that over 800 of them have been interviewed some other time in some other way, podcasts, video interviews, written, etch a sketch and smoke signals.
You are not obligated to consume media if you don't want to.
I thought Fauble was cool until he took whiny shots at Galen Rupp for wearing stupid things on his face (meanwhile Fauble has more stuff on his face in ugly sunglasses and moustache).
Now he just seems like a prick that has an ego that doesn't match his performances.

I absolutely loved Fauble's apt tweet about stupid stuff Galen wears on his face. Marathon could use a little bit more good natured trash talking.

Agree on all accounts. His attitude has changed into what comes off as a bitter guy with unwarranted hubris.

Agreed
Thanks for posting. Always like reading your guys' interviews.

I refuse to believe there are this many people upset about a joke tweet. It's one freak using multiple usernames, count on it.
Rupp owns an insane amount of real estate in Fauble’s head. Like Howard Hughes at his peak-level amount of real estate.
That pic of the starting line at the Trials with Rupp sitting amd Fauble staring at him with an annoyed/ruined expression is GOLD.

Yup! At that point Fauble had already lost the race

Notice Riley's stance...he was ready to throw down.

It's all ground that's been covered before, it's mere promo work for TMP. Which is fine to grab the attention of a segment of casual fans to satisfy sponsorship expectations. It's sort of like a virtual press conference, and typically nothing noteworthy comes out of those. Those of us who know Fauble's story from years past don't need to waste time on this but there are probably visitors to this forum who have never heard of him (and still won't with such a lame subject line). His shtick about burritos and movies is cute though ultimately tedious. Ditto his beefing with Ruppy, it's not a rivalry if one side always wins.

Yup! Riley and Rupp are focused on the race whereas Fauble is focused on Rupp. Guess which one didn’t make the Olympic team?
Riley's got that power stance going! And check Ward signaling some spectator.
To be fair, Abdi's looking down directly at Rupp, too.
What about the wise and experienced Olympian Abdi, who's standing over Rupp with his arms folded like "oh c'mom man."
*And the most experienced and decorated guy in the field, Lagat, is also mentally rolling his eyes.

Actually, Abdi's talking sh*t to Rupp, saying "since you're down there why don't you taste the black cactus tip? You might like it!"

No idea how you arrive at that conclusion. He said he trains as hard as he can but sh*t happens in the marathon and the other runners are really good too. I think Fauble is one of the best interviews in the sport - he's an open book, gives us complete insight into what it's like to train at that level through his strava.
