Utah is the worst state for obvious reasons. Scenery can't make up for living with several million demented Donny Osmond clones.
Oklahoma - anyone ever been there? That state should disappear. Would anyone notice if it did?
Nebraska-Iowa - they should merge and just be one large awful state, instead of two awful states.
Delaware sucks. It's on par with New Jersey.
Those six are pretty much the only states that truly suck.
Utah is a great state, sorry that you don't like people with values. Some of the most beautiful and unique places in the country. Besides some great mountains, fishing and skiing, there are some truly unique places like Zion, Bryce Canyon, Moab, Canyonlands, and Lake Powell. If you like the outdoors, you will love Utah.
Oklahoma (especially eastern Oklahoma) is actually quite beautiful. Lots of hills, deciduous forests, mountain biking, fishing, decent number of woodchip running trails, tons of water activities, etc.
Nebraska and Iowa are pretty forgettable. Omaha is actually a nice town (the Old Market section is pretty nice) and some decent trails on the Missouri River.
Never been to Delaware. Been to New Jersey. It wasn't awful, but then again I was driven around in a limo, so I didn't have to mess with traffic. There are not many places in the northeast I would want to live primarily because I dislike traffic, stress and people.
