If USATF won't allow non-compliant shoes (i.e. Vaporfly and its bast*rd offspring) at the OT they why are they allowing them for OT qualifying marks? Given the clear boost these shoes provide, it's going to result in a skewed competitors list where athletes who hit qualifier marks with the shoes will wind up higher on descending order lists than those who have qualified in WA-compliant shoes. We're going to have people who deserve to be at the OT left out in favor of people who would certainly be slower in WA-compliant shoes. USATF couldn't possibly have f*cked this up any worse, they hedged for whatever reason (Nike $$$?) and wind up crapping on honest athletes just chasing their dreams.
