He was recently hired and I’m sure has little to no interactions with Nick or Lauren Johnson relative to this case. I’m sure he just doesn’t want to be asked a lot of questions on Twitter about this.

But on the flip side, I've also received calls from people defending Nick Johnson including the then minor who was taken across state lines. She and her mother do not view her as a victim which is crazy to me.
Yes that's right, a minor flew to Oregon with Johnson and then told police he fingered her and showered with her but then tells me she's not a victim and she just told the police what they wanted to hear, how do you proceed?
The story is so unbelievable it's hard to know how to proceed. I'm worried about suicides, etc.

Nobody is talking about who this underage athlete he took “on a recruiting trip” to Oregon. Who would have been underage and around Huntington in 2020?? Maybe someone who is D1 caliber for her parents to believe the recruiting story…Maybe this person was groomed from so early on that she felt the need to forgo her D1 dreams and stay in Huntington for college.
Everyone needs fired immediately. Shut down HU athletics. The part of this that I think is the craziest is something that hasn't been reported - the minor in question - the one taken across state lines - is on the Huntington University team currently. That is crazy to me. How did the Univeristy allow that to happen? It would be like allowing someone who told the police Jerry Sandusky molested them to still go to Penn State and be coached by Jerry's wife.
Thank you for giving us some insight about what you guys are doing—and in the process informing us that the situation is yet again even worse than we thought. What I’m the actual hell is happening here.
Obviously won’t name names…but current HU athletes are all posting the same message to their instagram stories (same thing that AW posted).
If the university or Lauren (AKA Nick) gave athletes a statement to copy and paste to their socials that’s is NOT a good look.
I wonder how much control Lauren has here.
The high school athlete claims to not be a victim in the situation where Nick made sexual advances on the Oregon trip. However, if you look back a few Instagram posts, the high school athlete makes a statement about mental health and manipulation, clearly calling out Nick for being manipulative and emotionally abusive with his words. So she hasn’t always defended him necessarily. That leads me to believe that Lauren could be behind all of this nonsensical behavior that is a high school athlete upholding the actions of a sexual predator.

If an athlete is publicly posting something you can share it on here. Moderating this thread has been very difficult.
Speaking for myself I find it hard to believe athletes are posting, "The university and its current coaches have a history of upstanding behavior and have never deviated from such behavior."
I'm trying to think how they could think this. I guess they blame it all on Nick Johnson who was the sexual predator. And they say "the university fired him" and his "wife is not responsible for his sins".
But there was a lot more in the article including how team mebers "were told by Huntington University staff members they could visit the Johnson home, and specifically Nicholas, for running advice and camaraderie" after he was arrested.
The lawsuit also alleges that Lauren was informed that he was having sex with an athlete so there’s that…
The statement posted by a few of the athletes at HU, both boys and girls including Wiley reads as follows:
”I stand by the current coaches and administration of Huntington University in light of recent allegations brought against them. The allegations against the university were twisted to fit a narrative inconsistent with the reality we, as student-athletes, encountered. The university and its current coaches have a history of upstanding behavior and have never deviated from such behavior. Therefore, I support the university and repudiate the allegations brought against it.”
Some thoughts: it seems the statement was crafted in a way to be just vague enough where it could possibly seem like they aren’t outright defending Nick & Lauren. My question is what narrative is being contrived here exactly? What do they accusers have to gain out of this? This “reality” that you have encountered can be VERY different from the reality that Hannah and Emma and others experienced. That’s probably the most preposterous thing about the statement. I don’t know what they’re trying to accomplish with this either. Like another poster said in a related thread, this seems like Stockholm syndrome and it’s sick that these kids are so brainwashed.
HOW DOES THE MINOR END UP AT THE SCHOOL.
I am closing this thread to new posts. We have a new thread as well an article out.
