Come to think of it, Brandt beat most of the Tinmen over 5k en-route to his 10K PB. Why is he even bothering with guys who are so below him? Ouch.....how embarrassing for Tom Schwartz

If he sees himself as a 10k guy that wants to run on the roads, he could sign a $60k deal with Hansons right now.

Lol 60?
Wait why doesn’t he go to Tinman?
He could:
Post on his Instagram trying to be a hippie.
Train in an outdated system.
Actually get an adidas contract unlike most of the clowns.
Hurt Drew’s feelings.
Inspire 16 year old males.

No, high schoolers love Tinman.
People that understand running well do not. As someone who used to like Tinman the last couple years I have realized they provide no real value besides get high school kids excited.
That being said, I do see it can be important for high schoolers to understand the “pro” scene a little more.
So getting high schoolers excited about running is a bad thing?
Don’t bring sense into a Tinman-bashing thread.
Do you think he deserves more than 60k?

That is the strategy. Sort of like the common man being in favor of Bernie Sanders as he buys another vacation home.
I laughed. I like how Bernie switched from attacking all the millionaires and billionaires to just the billionaires as soon as he became a millionaire himself. He's an obvious fraud, but I can respect that.

I lold because I don’t think Hanson’s has the capital to dish that? Could be wrong.
He could get $25k.

Tinman is taking advantage of high schoolers by marketing and selling them overpriced gear made in china.
All the kids i see at the state meet wearing tinman gear are arrogant pricks who care more about looking fast than being fast. Then they blame their coach when they get beat.
Can he run the 5,000? It's a good (not great) college time but you can't make a living running 10,000 on the track as a pro as so few of them are run. If he can't run 5k and doesn't have a great kick it might be better for him to transition to the marathon.
Being a 6th year blows my mind. That's like an old man on the team compared to freshmen. Not too many 6th years from what I remember. Callahan maybe?

You are definitely wrong. Deeper pockets than probably everyone accept Bowerman.

Brandt just spent the Covid period training in Mammoth and Flagstaff at altitude. Pop!
Btw, Brandt's family is worth upwards of $100 Million dollars.
Hasn't he had injury issues the past couple of years? If he can stay healthy, he should have room to improve.
Olympics potential, great education, and tycoon family. The world is his oyster.
Everyone can stay an extra year due to covid. There will be many over the next 3 years. May even see longer if a medical or ran world junior or did a mission.

Deer Morans,
You wait until AFTER Tokyo when a lot of athletes get dropped and there's going to be a LOT more money available all over and you don't have to wind up training and racing in Under Armour or ON.

What is mine blowing is that three years ago in 2017 he was thrilled to break 29 minutes and now he’s at 2739 which is such a big improvement in three years. He’s got to be very talented.
He does not need to worry about paying the bills in the future as he comes from a very comfortable family background and is in line to inherit considerable wealth. This means that he can treat athletics as a hobby which is positive in the sense that he doesn’t need to stress about paying the bills. How far can Brandt go? Only time will tell. He’s a very balanced individual who loves surfing, basketball and many other activities. He’s something of a hedonist away from athletics. True California golden boy and something of a maverick in athletic circles because one would never guess from meeting him that he was a top class distance runner - not that I’m dissing distance runners but he’s very different from many or most. Would not look out of place on the beach with a pair Bermudas and a surfboard. not all distance runners fit that mold.
Typos: mine blowing = mind blowing
mold = mould

i know rob fairly well, and this is 100% it - 1 - he doesn't look the type of stud distance runner and 2 - he verrrryy rarely talks about running in every day discussion, and if he does, it's never about his success, its more so a generalized conversation of the top runners. super humble dude
