DREW HUNTER GOES HOME DEVASTATED
PR. he needs to dump tinmam and get some real training partners
Got outkicked AGAIN, and by two collegiate athletes that are younger than him.
I hope he realizes Tinman is a hack and leaves for a real coach.

he's 23 and just ran a 13:17 i think he'll sleep fine tonight
I doubt it. He just missed the olympic standard and lost to 2 younger collegians. I doubt he's happy with that.
College runners beat the pros a lot you must be new here
ChuckPT with a big PB, 13:22.44. Looking fit

he can’t find a way to win a fricken race. in my opinion he’s only doing about 75 miles from what i can tell and his workouts aren’t hard enough. he needs to work on his kick otherwise he’ll never qualify for any WC or Olympics every again. he got lucky in 2019
Lot of folks overseeded. Hocker should've been in the A heat.

Yeah, scrub pros. Not the next great American running hero.
until we have a real handle on Covid and garauntee(sp?) of global championships returning, these 'regular season' meets are significantly more anecdotal than in normal years

He mostly needs better training partners. The next best tinman is Sam Parsons lmao

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Are you claiming this wasn't a "real" race?
I recognize many of the comments made about tinman on this thread and historically are trolls, but does anyone really think he would not be a ~13:05 runner by now if he was a part of bowerman?
I don’t hate tinman or their team, but I think there is a legitimate point to be made that training with Matthew Centrowitz, Lopez Lomong, Mo Ahmed, Grant Fisher, Sean McCorty etc. etc. would be better for him than training with Sam Parsons....... and a couple guys that ran 13:48+ today. Granted it’s just one day, but Drew is capable of so much more than the other Tinman guys and needs to be training with others like him.

So now Drew has lost to 2 collegiate runners, both who are younger than him. How is he the boy wonder again?
He's not. Careed ended when we went pro out of HS. Kudos to the announcers for actually talking about it and hint at that thought.
FR. Great runner and good pr but in a tactical race he’s not gonna make the olympic team. That last lap will hurt him if he doesn’t make adjustments. Especially w the usuals of Chelimo, Lomong, Kincaid, Mcgorty, Fisher and now Teare and Luis(idk if he’s repping the US)

Yeah, I appreciated that too. Called a spade a spade.

Only B and C level pro athletes lose to collegiate athletes.
Drew's only job is to run. The college athletes have to balance school and training, they have limited resources for training and recovery, and they don't even get paid.
There is no excuse for Drew Hunter getting beat by them. His high school times were significantly faster than those 2 and they've already surpassed him.

Maybe he is clean and not the most talented. Maybe he is enjoying his running more than you are. Maybe he is simply not trying to please guys like you. Ever think of that?

Maybe he is simply slower than 2 collegiate runners and will fail to make the olympic team because of this?

Drew was committed to Oregon and thought he was too good so he went pro. Now he is losing to Oregon athletes. LMAO.
