He will probrably burn out, I hope not but he most likely will. He's too young.
He looks happy and is 11 years old...good for him, whether he had set a record or not.
He is actually 12 now and in 7th grade so he is not old for his grade. His 9:53 was faster than any 8th grade boy.

Great...I think 10 miles is kind of far for that age, but he's enjoying himself.
Probably he will focus on shorter distances as he gets into organized track and cross country.
