5k 10k and half marathon record all go down in 2020. Nothing weird going on here.
Spectacularly bad video coverage.
didn't ever see sisson running but if the leaderboard on the Valencia site is correct then she missed the American record by 1 second
Sisson 67:26

This year is the doping year.
Testing must be difficult with covid and runners are partying.
I don't believe any of the records this year

For argument fodder, Huddle ran in Houston simultaneously with the men’s race. Sisson was chasing a single runner much of the time, but ran alone.
Genzebe wins with new course record. Coughing a lot after crossing the line. Lots of phlegm. I think she needs to throw up. She may have thrown up a bit. High fives someone.
Mutiso 57:59? That surely will raise some eyebrows, even if we take into consideration the factor of being dragged along a very fast competition. Kandie, Kiplimo and Kipruto under the old WR in the same race is somewhat believable (remember Kamworor had to run alone and without pacemakers for a lot of it in windy conditions), but Mutiso..
Or the year of peaking in the lack of regular competition? You folks underestimate the power of periodization and the Olympic year factor. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
Both marathons seem slow through 10k. Not sure if we should trust the timing- there have been a few issues already today.

Kandie periodized his way to 4 sub 59:00 half marathons...

She blew out about a quart of eggnog one second before the coverage cut back to the men's marathon. ?

Worth noting that sisson ran simultaneously with a mens race today as well, it was just elite only so a lot smaller group.

15k splits of 49:12 and 43:51 seem much more on schedule.

Good point. She finished alone, so I’m not sure if she was really “with” any other runners out on the course.
Adidas has the men's HM WR again. A lot of green in the HM, much less so in the marathon.

The commentator said she was alone after 10k during the race. Do not know if that is accurate
