XC season just ended and my team has all taken their weeks off and are back to training. However, one of my teammates decided to join an indoor team and train with them. They don't have the best training though. They will do 3 workouts a week, normally hard intervals like 200's at 800 pace or faster with tons of rest. The other four days are completely off with the occasional 3 mile run to build "endurance." Aren't you supposed to work on building a base this time of year. We need him this year for our relays and I don't want him to get burnt out or injured this season. Should I try to give him advice or just let it go and let him learn from his mistakes.
