Another VMI job opening
From the looks of it(athletic website), the previous head track coach was also the head cross country coach. They've only had 2 active coaches for the past few years with the sprint/hurdle coach being held over once Zavala arrived and took over the program. It looks like there was a point where they actually had 4 coaches but for some reason there has only been two lately. I may be wrong but for what it's worth, I believe Chicago State does have an outdoor track. I know a few people in Chicago familiar with the program, I can inquire as to what the situation was with Zavala and the program in general.
Per the athletic site, there is an outdoor track and I believe they have access to the new indoor facility in Chicago as well for training and meets. So doesn’t seem to be a facility issue
From the Chicago area as well and if I remember correctly he made the move to Chicago State to be closer to home. Also the track and facilities were/are falling apart at Benedictine. The track needed a new surface 5 years ago and has significant drainage issues, the hammer and discus cages are both falling apart, and the school doesn't seem to be concerned about fixing things. I will be surprised if Benedictine hosts more than one meet each season moving forward. From a recruiting standpoint it has to be tough for the coaches at Benedictine with NCC being right down the road with far superior facilities and academics all at a similar price point.

This means the old DePaul coach should be the new UNCG head coach.
Any word on who Washington had hired?
Is this one of the Waytons from early LRC MB fame? Weren't they twins and infamous for their hijinks that are all through out the archives of this site? I remember fighting and tough guy threads. Also, on his bio at RHI, it doesn't list his University, which is pretty common for most coaches, wonder why? Isn't he an ISU graduate? It says his wife is,

Ronnye Harrison named sprint coach at Cal. Surprised to not see any mention of this posting. Decent coach on the track . Fired for lack of production aka recruiting at Oklahoma. Don’t see how he is going to recruit to Cal. Wasn’t he the guy who was promoted to head coach at Portland State without a degree?

That actually was posted here. I don't remember how long ago but it was definitely posted.
