2 full-time track & field assistants posted on Queens HR website. Does this mean they hired Distance director? Tom Scott??
They did hire someone for the head job already.

Ninow to Oklahoma
Doubt it, why would OK be better than UW? It is not more pay and Ninow is a West Coast guy.

It seems like this guy barely made it a year. Did he find a better job already?
All the people with real inside information aren’t on here. They are doing their jobs and worried about their own programs.
Only time you can find any real info out is during the convention. Pay attention to assistants hanging out with head coaches that aren’t their employer. And vice versa

You'd be surprised at who's on here.

Is Penn State throws coach headed to Washington?
Proof of vaccination is required for University employees. Ask Nick Rolovich at Washington State.

How many coaches applied for this and either interviewed or weren't even interviewed, that had resumes and experience far superior to his?
I don't know, but sometimes having a superior resume means nothing if you can't articulate how you'd continue to build a program that has become competitive in the WAC, and can continue to do so with in light of conference expansion. Rath has been there since they went from doormats to challenging for and winning conference titles. And he probably doesn't come with as big of an ego as some of those applying who have resumes "far superior".
Sounds like someone didn't get an interview/or didn't get selected and is a bit bitter.
You're 100% spot on with the below statement:

By interviewing a candidate with extensive running experience and maybe not so much "coaching" experience you will quickly learn what they can or cannot offer to a program. It will weed out the big-headed ego maniac candidates who don't know how to communicate a sound and well-thought plan to the athletes.
I sort of know this guy from my days in coaching from the Chicago area. He was the former head coach (and I think director) at Benedictine University in the Chicago area. Yea, its a DIII school, but I was surprised he left Benedictine (9 lane track, a very good track program, and a good distance program, which is a great university with a lot of resources, to go Chicago State (no track facilities and a XC program that was obsolete....academic standards there are low; however, they do have some good programs there). I am sure he went to Chicago State to see what the DI thing is like, but I know he has family as well so maybe that was the reason. I felt like the head track coach and the head xc coach there before Zavala were good people, but they had a hard mountain to climb. It not easy to recruit kids there (especially distance kids). Praying to Zavala for much success.
