Opens up a big distance job on the staff. Would think would now create a head cross country position and get a big name in there. Diljeet Taylor?

If Taylor didn't take the Stanford job when it was given to her, why would she take a job at Arkansas?
Agree on the (ass.) head coach position, but I don' t think it will be a big name. That could be problematic for the new head coach.
Probably get a good coach from a mid major conf or d2.

I don't know that she is interested, but I think the history and reputation of Arkansas track far exceeds that of Stanford. The salary (especially when compared to cost of living) is definitely larger than Stanford (and BYU).

Absolutely this is exactly correct. Way more money, quality of life.

They give you a house on Stanford's campus, so that's pretty good quality of life. I'd say the "quality of life" in the great climate that is California rivals Arkansas pretty evenly if not better.
Won't be a female. An up and coming male for sure. This guy's ego is way too big for Taylor.

You do NOT get a house at Stanford. You actually have to pay for a that house.

Right and only for head coaches, when one is available

You're right. I wasn't totally clear with what I was saying. I just meant they have houses available if you want it. Living on campus at Stanford could be kind of nice. The running is pretty decent out there as well. Not saying it's the most amazing place to live ever, but I think it could compete with Arkansas at least.
Yeah, no, you don’t get a house. I had a friend coach there a few years ago, $5200/month in rent and nothing special.
I don’t think they have a candidate in mind.
The candidate is in their mind, not sure if it’s actually being pursued. But In their minds it is.
When would they be hiring? Is it true that they don’t offer scholarships? I looked at some of their signees and their times out of high school are not great, neither is their progression.
