I think some people just trash job openings as terrible gigs to discourage you from applying to give themselves a better chance.

Does anyone have any inside to what “part time” means at Colgate salary wise? Does it just mean no benefits, but a normal salary? Or is it like a 6k for the year type of job. Just looking for some insight.
Thanks!
Normally part time is low pay and no benefits. Could be 3k to 15k who knows. Any word on some of the recent openings like Huntington, Spaulding, and Buena Vista University?
where is Joe Walker going ?

Jake Hurries
Who?
Jake Hurytz is a former Colorado runner who coaches at CSU Northridge or somewhere in California, was at Florida State for a bit.
It’s fairly easy to connect the dots. Why would a coach move across town to a school that has been decimated by transfers and will finish in the bottom three at conference. Not to mention the difference in funding.

1) he wasn’t making much at Cincinnati, so the pay may actually be better
2) he gets to be the director, which may matter to him
There are reasons other than what you are insinuating.

Why post the job then? If they were just combining men’s and women’s distance there would be no reason to post.
Because in case of the event where they do not need to cancel the position they have someone in line to be hired. It's probably not officially canceled at this point and they are waiting to hear about the news from their athletic department. Something similar happened with the Xavier assistant position before the Head Coach left.
Okay wait so does this mean we should apply even if we don't want to be men's head XC - like there's a chance that it would be assistant men's AND women's? Or if they combined the positions, would they repost?
