1 week from tomorrow (+/- a few days depending on weather) I will run a 1k time trial and I enjoy these prediction threads (although I know some people think they are silly, as they don't really serve a purpose). I will update this with my time when I run it if you want to test your prediction skills. I've been doing about 45 mpw with few workouts sprinkled in. Most of these workouts haven't really been balls out, I've just been focused on doing decent work.
Between some injuries and covid I haven't raced in ~2 years, so my PRs are not relevant anymore.
4x 500, 500 jog : 75, 79, 77, 75 (started fast, backed off slightly on rep 2)
3mi tempo: 15:54
6x 800, 400 jog: 2:23, 2:24, 2:20, 2:21, 2:24, 2:08 (not the most disciplined running on this one... was feeling sluggish/sandbagging before the workout, suddenly felt good when I had one rep left, last rep was as hard as I could run)
5x 200, 200 jog: 26, 26, 27, 27, 26 (really cold day)
I've also been hitting some fartleks (Mona Fartlek for about 3.7 miles if you know that workout), speed (30 flies), and a 10 mile long run (65 minutes). Right now my speed isn't exactly here, as you can see from the 200s.
