Yes it's a lightweight everyday shoe.
However there are cheaper options from reebok and adidas.
No. It's too expensive to be a daily mileage shoe.
10mm is a lot of drop for a forefoot runner. Check out their Evoride and Evoglide. I believe they're both 5mm.
Hi,
The Asics novablast is a great daily trainer as long as you have a neutral gait. Cushioned versatile, responsive its on the soft side. The other good one is the Reebpok Symmetros, firmer and responsive.

Hi,
I am a midfoot to heel striker though. So the drop suits me fine.
Cheers

I am a midfoot striker, Novablast is fine with 10mm and it gives my calves a rest from harder sessions in lower drop shoes/spikes.
Midsole is superb, comfy for everyday runs without feeling like its too plush. My only dislike with the shoe is the tongue and lacing - I can't quite get the lockdown right, and the tongue has a hard ridge around it which digs into the top of the foot if you lace too tightly.
Otherwise a brilliant shoe.

Millions use and have used 10mm drops and more for decades, even the Kenyans.
Anyway regards the topic, lots of people like them but I hated it, heavy, stiff, too much stack. Felt like i was a curb away for snapping my ankle. I wouldn't use them for every day runs.
Check out the FuelCell Rebel or NB Tempo. Both I use as a daily trainer, with the Rebel as more of a tempo day.

What is your main trainer?
I use this as an easy run/mileage shoe but also something I can do marathon pace/tempos in too e.g. not something like a brooks ghost or glycerin
I don't Iove it. It's very soft and I feel like I sink into the midsole a bit. Fine for very easy runs but if I try to pick up the pace, even a little, I feel like I'm being slowed down by the softness of it.
I'll go back to using the DS trainer I wear for pretty much everything. Love that shoe.
For reference, I'm 57, 6ft, 160 lbs and run 60 miles per week
