Nevertheless, it’s about the recovery and not how many workouts you can cram into a week. If you are not recovered for the next one, their is no point in doing it.
Most can’t handle three in a week although I don’t usually count a harder run when you are not breaking through your LT “threshold” as a workout.
10 day cycles are very difficult if not impossible to execute for HS students. You might not be able to have a day off during the week and be able to train on both weekend days. Compliance or lack of it is also a factor.
