She the 3000 many times in 7th grade and she ran the 5k at NXN in Junior High. No wonder she peaked a year or two ago. You normally get about 5 years of high level running.

Its all about training intensity and distances. As to peaking, time will tell.
As to mixed races, I think it creates too much advantage to be paced by a pack of faster boys which will induce a faster time than in a non-mixed race. But who knows? Maybe she led from the gun.
Btw wasnt there a thread a few years back that talked about Stewart's mom breaking an age group record previously set by a Russian athlete involved in doping? LOL. What a sport. Maybe that's why us cynical types take high school and college running so serious. Because after that...Hey I remember watching an entire generation of US cyclists come up, become top international cyclists, then disappear once the US crackdown happened. And just like that, it was all gone.
That's faster than the GOAT Kilian can run 3K. KJ dusted by a little girl.
I'm sorry "astro" but you are very, very WRONG. Imogen was NOT injured!!!
Her "stage mother" who by the way is a sports medicine practitioner and holds multiple Australian masters records, unlike you who I'm guessing has an economics degree and at best holds the local Parkrun age record has enough experience as an athlete and practitioner not to be stupid enough to push her daughter knowing that short term gain often results in long-term pain with juniors progressing beyond their level of ability.
Think about that one for a minute the individuals level of ability. You have no idea what training Imogen is doing, but because of her results you immediately assume that they are over-training and any absence of results is due to injury.
Her parents decided that it would be best if she continued to run but didn't compete for 12 months (thus the absence of results) to allow her teen age body to mature, not because she was injured.
You need to get your "facts" correct before you start quoting so called facts from the other half of the world.
Might I suggest that if you don't have anything positive to post, don't post anything because making others feel small does't make you a bigger man.
What have you ever done to qualify your analysis?
Imogen's mother was never considered a great runner prior to her master's running accomplishments. And her dad?
Imogen was overtrained and too much racing in her youth.
Ahh Imogen's mother would have been studying to become a doctor wouldn't she?? Not a bad excuse for not posting any results as a junior. The dad's a doctor too....
Just because you say she was over trained means that it must be true, wow you have an ego.
If you are such an expert what are your qualifications and please tell us how you know what training Imogen Stewart is doing? Are you her coach are you?

Shooting the messenger?
Do Aussies think Imogen Stewart is the first young runner to set age group records?
USA has seen this so many times.
Please show a few runners who set age group records when 12 or younger and then went on to become elite college runners, or international class runners.
Please show any runner 12 or younger who set age group records in 3200m (or 2 miles) and wasn't overtrained?
I think they call this protesting to much.. And sorry but the state of the sport is what it is. When you are setting international "master" records in a dirty sport and exceeding times established by dopers it just might result in some honest cynicism. Her mother is still ranked in the national top 20 at age 45, but there is nothing to see here. Never is, right?

OK...two Oregon Ducks, if Jordan Hassan was supposed to be Jordan Hasay
.
Rogers was an elite 400m runner who could run a 800m, but still qualifies under the criteria I suggested.
Hasay? Great freshman year in HS, then made incremental improvements. Moved up in distance in college, as well as continued incremental improvements. This persisted after college, but moving up in distance when so young supports my hypothesis. However, she continued to lower her 1500m and 3000m, and that was what I argued as unlikely.
Yes Hasay. That wasn't a joke, just autocorrect. The examples are rare. I wasn't suggesting that exceptions make the rule. I agree that 95% of young phenoms are forgotten by the time they are 18. Ping has many age group records but is only about 20th best now at age 17. By age 20, she may be 100th.
Tuohy is in better shape. She did peak later though and has run fast enough to be competitive in college without improvement.
Great avoidance of the facts again astro, you best be off and taper for your Parkrun on Saturday, dickhead
Dont shoot the messenger. This is a sport where top national/international competitors routinely lie and disregard their well being for glory. Sorry. Now off I go. :)
I can see your point that some girls at Stewart's age do burn out/ don't regard their wellbeing. Stewart, however, had a year and a half off to let her body develop, taking care of her wellbeing. She is not stick thin, and she definitely does not look like she is overtraining. Stop trying to bring young athletes down, instead be happy for them as they are probably doing things you could never dream of.

False.
Explain yourself?? How is "truths" statement false? You wouldn't even know Imogen Stewart if you fell over her in the street so how can you claim what is the truth about her and what is false?

How can you claim to know the truth about me?
We are not interested in you, we are interested in you claiming that things written in context about Imogen Stewart are lies. It seems you have some kind of hate agenda again a 15 year old girl, why is that? Can't we all just wish her the best and move the hate train to a new station.....
